The legendary rock band has sold more than 100 million albums, received countless awards and has garnered a diehard fan base worldwide. The band’s story begins in 1970 when lead singer Steven Tyler met guitarist Joe Perry working at an ice cream parlor. Soon after, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton and Joey Kramer joined the band and they headed to Boston. There, the band was discovered by Columbia Records in 1973 and released its first album. Because of Aerosmith’s bluesy sound, it received comparisons to The Rolling Stones, and with the group’s third album, Toys in the Attic, it emerged as a leader in the rock and roll industry.
