One of Walt Disney’s classic tales comes to life at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center. In 1991, the 30th animated film by Disney; Beauty and the Beast captivated the world with its elegance and personable characters. The film focused on a Beast, a prince who is magically transformed into horrid monster as a punishment for his arrogance, and Belle, a beautiful young woman who is imprisoned in his castle. In order to become a prince again, Beast must win her affection or he will remain a monster for eternity. The film received many awards, including four Academy Awards. The original creators of the Broadway production are together again for this new touring production. The play is directed by Rob Roth and choreographed by Matt West, with Tony Award winning Costume Designer Ann Hould-Ward.
