From performing as an unpaid floor singer to being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003, more than 35 years tell the musical story of Elvis Costello. Performing and collaborating with many big names in the industry and having others reverberate the tunes and lyrics of his own music, Costello has a unique sound and image that spans genres and generations. He has graced stages with The Attractions, The Imposters and Steve Nieve. The likes of Paul McCartney, Bill Frisell and Roy Nathanson have joined Costello in collaboration. Johnny Cash, No Doubt, Alison Krauss and Dusty Springfield are among the voices that have covered his own. He has performed on stages around the world and worked with musical and artistic entities such as the Sydney Symphony, The Royal Danish Opera, The London Symphony Orchestra and The Miami City Ballet, working alongside choreographer Twyla Tharp. In the last 5 years, Costello has produced three albums: In 2009, he released his 29th studio album, Secret, Profane & Sugarcane, and in 2010, he released National Ransom, which was followed by appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and The Colbert Report. In 2013, Costello’s work with The Roots came to completion with Wise Up Ghost. His world-renowned sound will arrive in Tulsa at Cain’s Ballroom on Friday, March 6.
