From tulsapac.com – Mark Frie (Jean Valjean from Theatre Tulsa’s 2014 summer smash “Les Misérables”) stars as Tevye in this fresh-yet-familiar take on the all-time classic tale of faith, family, and tradition!

Fiddler on the Roof tells the story of Tevye, a poor Jewish milkman struggling to raise five daughters in the face of changing customs and growing anti-Semitism in Czarist Russia. The musical premiered on Broadway in 1964 and ran for eight years. It won nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Author, and Best Composer and Lyricist. Well-known songs from the show include “Tradition,” “If I Were a Rich Man,” “Matchmaker, Matchmaker” and “Sunrise, Sunset.”

Sara Phoenix directs this production with a cast that includes Rebekah Peddy as Tevye’s wife, Golde; Hannah Finnegan, MaKayla Baxter and Katherine Patz as their marriageable daughters; and Peggy Fry as Yente, the matchmaker.
