Love OKC is comprised of people and organizations striving to make Oklahoma City better. A nonprofit that began in 2012, Love OKC serves its community through its volunteering efforts. The One Day event on Saturday, Aug. 29 brings local businesses, organizations and individuals together to provide free groceries, health services, meals, family portraits, entertainment and more to those struggling in their community. Last year, there were 6,873 honored guests, 1,980 volunteers, 1,200 family portraits taken, 10,000 lunches prepared, 2,400 boxes of groceries distributed, 450 haircuts provided, 135 potential hires form the job fair and 620 guests received health services.
