The touring musical Sister Act brings laughs and great music to the Tulsa Performing Arts Center. Sister Act, based on the 1992 comedy film starring Whoopi Goldberg, opens Tuesday, May 13, at 7:30 p.m. Featuring original music by Oscar winner Alan Menken, the musical, like the film, is the story of Deloris, a sassy lounge singer who witnesses a crime and goes into hiding as a nun. Deloris, however shakes up the convent and its choir as she discovers something about herself. Tickets to the show are $20-$60, and Sister Act runs through Sunday, May 18, in the Chapman Music Hall at the Tulsa PAC, 101 E. Third St. The play moves to Oklahoma City the following week.
