Opens Friday, Aug. 1

A beautiful chandelier brings together art and function in perfect balance. When that balance is disrupted, you get the fascinating Chandelier & Other Luminous Objects, Living Arts of Tulsa’s exhibition of original artworks that create their own light. Three dozen chandeliers and art objects are part of this second annual show featuring work by artists from the Tulsa and Oklahoma City areas and beyond. Chandelier includes a pre-opening talk at 5:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1. The opening reception follows from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. At 8 p.m., Rachel Bruce Johnson will present a dance performance piece as her contribution to the show. Admission is free. Chandelier runs through Sept. 25. For more about this show and the John Kelley video exhibition, Harmless (Aug. 1-28), visit www.livingarts.org.
