As the hot weather rolls into the Oklahoma plans, it will surely be nice to cool off with some theatrical entertainment.

In Tulsa, Celtic Throne: The Royal Journey of Irish Dance stomps into town July 1 at the Tulsa PAC. From the legendary Brian Byrne comes a new musical score accompanying traditional Irish dance, perfect for audiences of all ages. Also at the PAC, the Falun Dafa Association of Oklahoma presents Shen Yun on July 31. Combining music and dance, the show portrays the magic of heavenly realms, ancient legends and heroes.

If you find yourself in OKC on July 3, OKC Phil presents Red, White and Boom at the illustrious Scissortail Park. Grab some lawn chairs and park it on the gorgeous green to enjoy patriotic tunes – all for free. Stick around OKC for Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park’s rendition of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The show, running July 15-Aug. 1, takes place in the Shakespeare Gardens and retells the beloved Shakespearean tale of Lysander, Helena, Demetrius, Hermia and Puck.
