The perfect mixture of rock, rap, reggae and funk arrived in 1990 as 311. For the last 15 years, singer and guitarist Nick Hexum, singer S.A Martinez, guitarist Tim Mahoney, drummer Chad Sexton and bassist P-Nut have been mesmerizing fans with their unique sound, offering smooth, soothing beats and rhythms interjected with hard-hitting, upbeat power, securing themselves a sweet spot in the music industry with their musical distinctiveness. 311 has, over the course of its career, released chart-topping hits, including “Love Song,” “Beautiful Disaster,” “Down,” “Come Original” and “Don’t Tread On Me.” In 2014, the group released its latest album, Stereolithic, offering fans 15 new pieces. Alongside its 2015 summer tour, 311 continues to celebrate its 25th anniversary with a number of special projects throughout 2015, including a 311 box set, which released on June 30; re-issuing of the 1992 Hydroponic album; the launch of 311’s first craft beer; and more. 311’s tour makes a stop in Oklahoma City on Monday, July 6, at Diamond Ballroom.
