Oklahoma’s sports scene is heating up. From college football and pro basketball to hockey, horse shows and high-octane racing, there’s no shortage of ways to get in the game.
In Tulsa, catch the Golden Hurricane at TU with home football games at H.A. Chapman Stadium on Oct. 1 and 23. Prefer soccer? Head to ONEOK Stadium on Oct. 3 and 17 for Tulsa FC matches. Hockey season is also in full swing at BOK Center, with Oilers games on Oct. 17, 27, 29 and 30. For something with a little more punch, head to River Spirit Casino and Resort on Oct. 19 for XFN 413, an action-packed night of mixed martial arts and kickboxing. Then, saddle up for the Arabian and Half Arabian Championship Horse Show at Expo Square, Oct. 22-31.
In OKC, October means one thing: pro basketball is back. The formidable OKC Thunder returns to Paycom Center on Oct. 7, 13, 22, 25 and 26, with Tulsans getting a chance to catch the action closer to home at BOK Center on Oct. 6. Over at OKC Fair Park, check out the Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show, Oct. 11-17.
And the action doesn’t stop in the big cities. Head to Atoka Motorsports Park for the Atoka Point Race on Oct. 9-10, or catch the Northeast Oklahoma Autocross at Muskogee-Davis Field Airport, Oct. 31-Nov. 1. College football fans can also make the trek to Norman and Stillwater, with the Sooners playing at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium on Oct. 10, 17 and 31, and the Cowboys taking the field at Boone Pickens Stadium on Oct. 10 and 24.
