[dropcap]On[/dropcap] March 1, Tulsa-based Manhattan Construction Company won the National Safety Excellence Award from Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) at the annual Excellence in Construction Awards in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This award recognizes Manhattan’s world-class safety processes along with the informed culture that pervades the company, where the well-being of all employees is a global responsibility. The company’s strong commitment to safety and impeccable record helped them gain this award.

The National Safety Excellence Award winners are chosen from a pool of ABC firms that have achieved Diamond, Platinum and Gold status in the Safety Training Evaluation Process – the standard for judging every aspect of a construction company’s safety and health. Diamond is the highest honor level in this process, and Manhattan has achieved this status seven times.
