The NBA gifts the Thunder nation with a matchup against the Chicago Bulls on Christmas Day this year. Last season, Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant suffered a foot injury, which plagued him for the entire season. With Durant’s absence, Oklahoma City failed to reach the playoffs after making it to the postseason in the previous five years. On the other hand, the Chicago Bulls’ Derrick Rose has been plagued with injuries his entire career. After missing all of training camp because of a fractured left orbital bone, Rose led the Chicago Bulls in a victory against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in October. In the Thunder’s 112-106 victory against San Antonio Spurs, Russell Westbrook led the Thunder with 33 points and 10 assists, while Durant scored 22 points in their regular-season opener. With Durant and Rose returning to their true form, the Thunder and the Bulls are both poised for the post-season, making this a matchup you don’t want to miss.
