These Texas natives left industry insiders on Music Row scratching their heads after their last project debuted as the most-downloaded country album on iTunes. Randy Rogers Band formed in 2002, and has released seven studio albums. The group’s eighth album Nothing Shines Like Neon produced by Nashville vet Buddy Cannon was released on Jan. 15, 2016, and peaked at No. 5 on the U.S. Country Charts. The country album is led by songs like “Rain and the Radio,” “Things I Need to Quit” and an old-school duet with Jamey Johnson, “Actin’ Crazy,” which expertly marries the country-rock of the Red Dirt scene with classic country twang. The band performs all their latest hits at the Riverwind Casino in Norman, Okla. at 8 p.m. Tickets begin at $57. For more information, visit www.riverwind.com.
