Thursday, July 2-Saturday, July 18

Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park’s July performance of You Can Never Tell opens at Oklahoma City’s Myriad Botanical Gardens Thursday, July 2. The four-act play written by George Bernard Shaw in 1897 is set at a seaside resort in England at the turn of the 20th century. When Mrs. Clandon, a famous author, and her grown children, Gloria, Dolly and Philip, return to England after 18 years away, the three children, who have never met their father, invite Mr. Fergus Crampton, Mrs. Clandon’s estranged husband to lunch. Throughout the play, comedy of errors and confused identities unravel a story of love, family, money, sex, social and political issues and women’s rights. Future showings arrive on the Water Stage July 3, 9, 10, 16, 17 and 18, each starting at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 for students, seniors, military and groups. General admission is $15.
