Miller Rothlein and company bring two fascinating multimedia works to Tulsa’s Nightingale Theatre in a dance and art program more than suited for Tulsa’s New Genre Festival XXI. The Philadelphia-based company presents generate.degenerate, a performance piece using multimedia run entirely on sustainable energy and a bicycle as a life story is simultaneously told and erased in the telling. The other piece is Self Portrait, described as a living sculpture of animation, still imagery and “demanding physicality” inspired by the paintings and diary of artist Frida Kahlo. The program begins at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 6, and at 10 p.m. Friday, March 7, at the Nightingale, 1416 E. Fourth St. Tickets start at $30.
