For the first time in 2015, Travis Pastrana’s Nitro Circus Live arrives at Tulsa’s BOK Center. On Thursday, May 21, bike engines will be revving, wheels will be spinning and bikes will be flying through the air, along with some interesting modes of transportation that include tricycles, skis, bathtubs and even a Barbie car. A 50-foot high “Gigant-A-Ramp” will be constructed on the arena floor for crazy stunts and even crazier athlete to fly off of. With 40 of the world’s best extreme athletes all under one roof, this is a can’t-miss spectacle. Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone, Bizzy Bone, Wish Bone and Flesh-N-Bone make up this harmonizing hip-hop group out of the ‘90s. Finding a solid footing in the hip-hop stratosphere with its 1994 hit “Thuggish Ruggish Bone,” Bone Thugs-N-Harmony has continued to impress throughout the years. With three Grammy Awards under the belt, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony was nominated for another eight between 1996 and 2007. Now, The original Bone Thugs-N-Harmony lineup will perform its hit album E. 1999 Eternal in its entirety at Cain’s Ballroom on Friday, May 22. Mosely and Theshay West, from AMC’s The Walking Dead; Kane Hodder, a horror film icon who was the first actor to play Jason Voorhees of Friday the 13th; Lar Park Lincoln who played Tina Shepard in Friday the 13th Part 7 – The New Blood; Ernie Reyes Jr., who debuted in The Last Dragon and was also the martial arts stunt double for Donatello in the first Ninja Turtles film; and so many more fan favorites. For three days in Pryor, Okla., rock fans will join rock stars for the ultimate Memorial Day weekend celebration. With four stages and more than 80 performers, 2015 Rocklahoma invites Oklahomans and visitors to a wild party that rages from noon to 2 a.m., Friday through Sunday. This year’s featured acts include Godsmack, Linkin Park, Papa Roach, Slayer and Tesla, but the full lineup boasts talent after talent. Campgrounds are available and open Sunday, May 17. Memorial Day weekend will host the 39th Annual Paseo Arts Festival in Oklahoma City. From Saturday, May 23 to Monday, May 25, more than 80 artists of different mediums will sprawl the Paseo Arts District. Painting, photography, woodwork, jewelry and more will be on display and available for purchase each day of the festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Also enjoy musical talents and performers on two different stages. After a great run at the Oklahoma City Civic Center Music Hall May 5-10, the famed production and its rock-star cast arrives in Tulsa for a stint that will welcome audiences to the Tulsa Performing Arts Center May 26-31. The play recounts the Dec. 4, 1956, one-of-a-kind occurrence when Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins found themselves in the recording studio at Sun Records in Memphis, Tenn., for an impromptu session that has been called the greatest jam session ever recorded. The next day, an article about the now-famous session was published in the Memphis Press-Scimitar. It was titled “Million Dollar Quartet.” Inspired by that famed recording session, Million Dollar Quartet brings to the stage some of the greatest hits including “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Fever,” “Great Balls of Fire” and “Walk The Line.” Don’t miss this smash-hit production that the New York Times says “whips the crowd into a frenzy with blast after blast of explosive vitality.” For more information, visit www.tulsapac.com.

Since his introduction to the country music industry in 1993, Kenny Chesney has secured himself an extremely loyal fan following – “No Shoes Nation” – as well as many honorable accolades including numerous Entertainer of the Year awards. Every year in May, downtown Tulsa turns into an arts and entertainment festival that draws visitors from all over the state and beyond. Outdoor art exhibits line the streets and sidewalks showcasing artwork and handmade goods from all over the country. Indoor galleries house more than 100 Tulsa artists and their works of a variety of mediums, including oil, metal, photography and more. Top musicians and performers from Tulsa and headliners from all over the country attract crowds to the front of their stages. How can it get any better? All of Mayfest’s performances are free. Food trucks and other vendors offer traditional festival flavors like corn dogs and funnel cakes, among other delicious selections, so patrons don’t have to stray far from the festivities to get a bite to eat. This year, the Blue Dome District will host its 12th annual Blue Dome Arts Festival that draws thousands to Second and Elgin in downtown Tulsa for a weekend of art and entertainment. This year, more than 200 art vendors will showcase and sell their works to art enthusiasts who will get the added enjoyment of great food trucks, live music and performers, a chalk circle, art car parade, kids zone and so much more. Our state’s artists will bring their paintings, photography, jewelry, pottery, clothing, furniture and other creations to Blue Dome’s streets.
