If you’re looking for a word to describe the production of Giselle, “spellbinding” might be it. Giselle tells the story of a naïve young girl seduced by a man and left brokenhearted. The man pretends to be a peasant, but over the course of time, Giselle learns he is nobility and engaged to a princess. The young peasant girl dies of a broken heart and becomes a ghost hell-bent on vengeance. The ballet first premiered in Paris, and has since inspired many young dancers with captivating choreography and beautiful costumes.
