Running has been a large part of Beck’s life for a long while. After college, she worked in fundraising consulting in Washington, D.C., but she left that behind when she decided to pursue her dream of working in the running industry. While living in San Diego, Calif., she met her husband, who also worked in the running industry, and in March 2013, the two opened Red Coyote in Beck’s hometown. “Our goal is to actively promote a healthy lifestyle in Oklahoma City and surrounding communities,” she says. Among the myriad accomplishments Beck has to celebrate: Red Coyote was voted as one of the Top 4 Running Stores in the U.S. by Competitor magazine in 2011 and 2013, and she has qualified to run the 2015 Boston Marathon.
