Ersin Demirci, 29

Demirci began his career as a math teacher. Now director of a nonprofit organization promoting unity, he finds it all adds up. “I plan on enhancing my skills and continuing my involvement in social projects promoting peace and mutual understanding,” he says. With Dialogue Institute Oklahoma, Demirci organizes forums, symposiums, discussions and events promoting tolerance. He also volunteers with the American Red Cross, Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and others. He is working on a doctorate degree in aviation and space science.
