There’s something for every sports enthusiast this August.
In Tulsa, ONEOK Field is bustling with Tulsa Drillers baseball games, running all month long. You can also venture to Expo Square, where two equine events await: the NSBA World Show, Aug. 14-23, and the 100X Reining Classic, Aug. 29-Sept. 6.
In OKC, the Comets take on regular season baseball foes all month at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Support women’s sports during the USA Softball All-American Games, Aug. 3-8 at Devon Park. Other goodies in OKC include the American Quarter Horse Youth Championship through Aug. 9 at OKC Fair Park, as well as the Oklaflow Surfing Finals on Aug. 14-16 at Riversport OKC, and the Route 66 Beach Sprint Rowing Festival, Aug. 29-30 at Edmond Park.
Around the state, enjoy the Will Rogers Memorial Rodeo, Aug. 3-8 at Vinita’s American Legion Rodeo Grounds; the Atoka Point Race, Aug. 7-8 at the city’s Motorsports Park; and the Great Salt Plains Stampede Rodeo, Aug. 21-22 at Cherokee’s Alfalfa County Fairgrounds.
