From theatretulsa.org: Theatre Tulsa will deliver the final show in its 2016-2017 season with Jesus Christ Superstar. The immortal rock opera chronicles the final days of Jesus Christ’s life, told from the perspective of his friend, disciple and betrayer, Judas Iscariot. The musical, featuring music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, is loosely based on the Gospels’ accounts of the last week of Jesus’s life, beginning with the arrival of Jesus and his disciples in Jerusalem and ending with his crucifixion. Theatre Tulsa’s production of Jesus Christ Superstar has been updated to the present day. Shows run throughout the weekend at varying times. Visit theatretulsa.org for tickets.
