Oklahoma City Ballet brings an original interpretation of the 1740 Barot de Villeneuve story to life through dance, music and magic. Beauty and the Beast receives its world premiere Friday, April 18, at 7 p.m. at the Oklahoma City Civic Center Music Hall, 201 N. Walker Ave. Additional performances are scheduled for 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday, April 19. Featuring dazzling new choreography by OKC Ballet’s Artistic Director Robert Mills, the production brings together elaborate sets and costumes, lightings, scenery, sound and performance – all the elements of fantasy in this tale of enchantment and true love.
