The main event of the Oklahoma City Restaurant Convention & Expo, Culinary Cook-off brings together 12 of Oklahoma’s most talented chefs in a competition of best dishes. Various heats will whittle down the contestants until two chefs remain. Industry professionals will be sitting down at the judging table and be looking for exceptional plate presentation, creativity, taste, sanitation practices and more. A trophy, medals and cash prizes, the most coveted reward is the title. This year’s contestants include Ian Wagner of SNU Dining, Tyler Whitson of Autry Technology Center, Michael Paske of Café 7, Boo Hee Thomas of Republic Gastropub, David Nguyen of OKC Golf & Country Club, Patrick Clark II of Red Cup, Jason McCormack of The Miller Grill, Christopher Bullis of EXPOSERVE, Rachel Foster of Moni’s Pasta and Pizza, Jonathan Groth of Tasting Room, Jimmy Tillman of nebu @ Devon and Sarah Leavell of Platt College Tulsa.
