[dropcap]The[/dropcap] River Parks Authority and the YWCA of Tulsa have announced MisFEST: Music is She Music Festival, an event designed to empower women to succeed in the music industry. The one-day concert, which will feature female-led acts including Branjae, KALO and Fiawna Forte, is a Square One production, presented by Tanninger Companies and Fowler Toyota.

In addition to showcasing women in music, MisFEST is partnering with the Rock and Roll Camp for Girls to expose more young children to the possibilities of music as a profession.

The inaugural festival will start at 2 p.m. on May 13, and the YWCA will host a “Day Before Mother’s Day” brunch featuring an intimate performance and an opportunity to meet and talk with female singer/songwriters.

General admission tickets to the festival are $20, tickets including brunch are $35, and VIP tickets are $50. Tickets should be purchased in advance at misfest.com. All proceeds benefit River Parks Authority and YWCA of Tulsa.
