Oklahoma State Fair & Tulsa State Fair

The Oklahoma State Fair returns Sept. 17-27 to OKC Fair Park, celebrating the state’s thriving agriculture, manufacturing and commerce while offering nearly two weeks of all-ages entertainment. The Tulsa State Fair takes over Expo Square Oct. 1-11 for its annual celebration of family, education and entertainment. Zeeco Oktoberfest Tulsa
Returning Oct. 22-25 to River West Festival Park, Zeeco Oktoberfest Tulsa brings an authentic Bavarian celebration to Oklahoma with food, music, traditions and family fun. Inspired by Oktoberfest Munich, the festival features massive tents, more than 100 German and local beers, Bavarian favorites like bratwurst, wiener schnitzel, cheesecake and strudel, plus arts, crafts, games and competitions.

Enjoy performances from international and local German bands across 11 stages, test your skills with activities like bier barrel racing and stein hoisting, and experience the crowd-favorite Dachshund Dash. Red Earth Fallfest
Red Earth FallFest is back and better than ever on Oct. 17 in downtown Oklahoma City at Scissortail Park, offering a free celebration of Indigenous arts, culture and community. After outgrowing its previous location, the festival moved to the larger park, providing more space for Native artists, families and the always entertaining Youth Powwow.
Visitors can shop within the Native art market, enjoy food trucks, explore the Scissortail Park Farmers Market, and experience traditional dance, music and community throughout the day. Poteau Balloon Festival
The Poteau Balloon Festival flies into town Oct. 16-17 to the LeFlore County Fairgrounds, offering a weekend of fall scenery, family entertainment and colorful skies. Set against the backdrop of the region’s mountains and autumn foliage, the festival invites visitors to watch hot air balloons fill the sky while enjoying carnival rides and activities for all ages.

Scotfest
Scotfest returns to Broken Arrow Sept. 18-20 for one final festival weekend, celebrating 46 years of Scottish heritage, music and tradition. Held at Broken Arrow Events Park, the farewell event will bring back longtime favorites while introducing new activities for one last gathering of pipes, pageantry and Highland spirit.

Route 66 Christmas Chute
The Route 66 Christmas Chute is back after a one-year hiatus in downtown Sapulpa, running Nov. 19-Dec. 27 and transforming Historic Route 66 into a dazzling holiday destination in celebration of the highway’s centennial. Located at 101 E. Dewey Ave., the festive attraction features 21,000 square feet of walkable Christmas décor, with 60,000 lights, 10,000 icicles and 11 unique holiday themes.
Created through the dedication of more than 1,500 community volunteers, the Chute has become a beloved tradition, welcoming more than 500,000 visitors in 2024 alone. Guests can stroll through the illuminated corridor, enjoy seasonal music and explore pop-up experiences throughout the holiday season. Greenwood Film Festival

Celebrating its sixth year, the Greenwood Film Festival returns to OSU-Tulsa from Sept. 6 to 10, bringing filmmakers and movie lovers together in the heart of Tulsa’s historic Black Wall Street. Founded during the 100th anniversary of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, the festival was created to provide a platform for Black filmmakers to share their stories, all while fostering healing through culture, truth and inspiration.
Attendees can enjoy film screenings, panel discussions, educational classes and networking opportunities. This year’s screening line-up includes Trust Issues, a drama exploring relationships and secrets; Poverty Trap, a documentary examining America’s struggle with systemic poverty; and A House Between Worlds, a psychological drama from festival founder Dennis Y. Tulsa Greek Festival
The Tulsa Greek Festival returns Sept. 17-19 for its 66th year at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1222 S. Guthrie, offering a weekend filled with authentic Greek food, music, culture and hospitality. Guests can savor festival favorites including souvlaki, gyros, lamb and potatoes, warm loukoumades, baklava and other pastries while tapping their toes along to live Greek music and colorful dance performances.

Oklahoma Regatta Festival

The Oklahoma Regatta Festival returns Oct. 2-4 to RiverSport OKC for a weekend of high-energy racing, family fun and waterfront entertainment in the Boathouse District. The three-day event features the Oklahoma City University Head of the Oklahoma Regatta, RiverSport Rowing and Dragon Boat League Championships, and OG&E NightSprints, where competitors race under the glow of lights, costumes and decorations.

Bluegrass and Chili Festival
Head to downtown Tahlequah Sept. 11-12 for the annual Bluegrass and Chili Festival, a free, family-friendly celebration packed with live entertainment, food and fun. National, regional and local performers will take the stage with bluegrass, country, gospel, contemporary Christian, R&B and rock music, including Ricky Skaggs, Kentucky Thunder, Rhonda Vincent, SpringStreet and the U.S. Navy Band Country Current.

Saturday’s festivities feature the sanctioned Mid-America Regional Chili Cook-Off, where competitors vie for cash prizes and a chance to advance to the International Chili Society’s World Championship Chili Cookoff.
