With a mission of preserving America’s indigenous dance form and promoting dance through story-based shows, Chicago Tap Theatre has toured the country and performed on countless stages. The company, founded in 2002, brings its artistry to the stage of Mitchell Hall Theatre on the campus of the University of Central Oklahoma as part of the university’s Broadway Tonight series on Monday. Chicago Tap Theatre’s artistic director, Mark Yonally, spent time teaching in Oklahoma before founding the company; he will present an open-to-the-public master class from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. prior to his performance with the group. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased at the Mitchell Hall Theatre box office. For more information, visit www.mitchellhalltheatre.com.
