Stage, film and television actor Gary Sinise and John Rich of country music’s Big & Rich welcome guests to the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum for a special night supporting U.S. veterans and troops. The Gary Sinise Foundation presents the Inspiration to Action Dinner, a night also featuring Medal of Honor recipient Sammy L. Davis. The dinner begins Tuesday, March 11, with a 5:30 p.m. reception followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Rich is slated to perform. Sinise is also set to attend a private screening at 7 p.m. Monday, March 10, of the 1994 film Forrest Gump in which he plays the character Lt. Dan. The foundation raises money to build “smart homes” for severely wounded veterans. This two-day event will help build such a home for U.S. Army SSG Rusty Dunagan, a triple amputee, and his family in Oklahoma. Tickets for the screening, dinner event or both can be purchased at www.garysinisefoundation.org. Sponsorships and donations are also welcome. The museum is located at 1700 N.E. 63rd St. in Oklahoma City.
