After a great run at the Oklahoma City Civic Center Music Hall May 5-10, the famed production and its rock-star cast arrives in Tulsa for a stint that will welcome audiences to the Tulsa Performing Arts Center May 26-31. The play recounts the Dec. 4, 1956, one-of-a-kind occurrence when Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins found themselves in the recording studio at Sun Records in Memphis, Tenn., for an impromptu session that has been called the greatest jam session ever recorded. The next day, an article about the now-famous session was published in the Memphis Press-Scimitar. It was titled “Million Dollar Quartet.” Inspired by that famed recording session, Million Dollar Quartet brings to the stage some of the greatest hits including “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Fever,” “Great Balls of Fire” and “Walk The Line.” Don’t miss this smash-hit production that the New York Times says “whips the crowd into a frenzy with blast after blast of explosive vitality.” For more information, visit www.tulsapac.com.
