Touting a “long-time love affair with Detroit-style pizza,” Rendezvous Pizza in OKC is a one-stop-shop for wings, pies and cold beer on tap.

A hallmark of any good establishment, Rendezvous’ menu focuses on “a few items that are done really well” instead of a massive menu with average dishes. Among favorites are appetizers like meatballs, crispy mozzarella, and focaccia and olive tapenade. Salad options include the Antipasto with romaine, olives and pepperoni; and classics like the house and Caesar. The three sandwich options include the Rendezvous Sub with prosciutto, salami, provolone and pepperoncini; the Motor City Club with oven roasted turkey, shaved ham and smoked bacon; and a classic meatball sub.

As its name suggests, the menu shines brightest on its pizzas, with ten Detroit-style and nine New York-style pies. Of the former, highlights include the Five Cheese; the Tito’s Vodka, which, yes, includes spicy Tito’s vodka sauce, plus Italian sausage and red pepper flakes; and the 8 Mile Pie, with mushrooms, onions, green peppers, pepperoni and Italian sausage. NY-style goodies include the New York Supreme with all the fixings, as well as classics like the Margherita and pepperoni.

The joint is also known for its variety of American brews on tap, as well as a bevy of bottled beers, both local and national. Stick around for specialty cocktails, too. Mix in a couple of dessert options, plus affordable pricing and ample serving sizes, and you may have just found your new favorite pizza joint.
