From signaturesymphony.org: Noam Faingold, Director of Tulsa’s bART Conservatory, opens a night of music with the highly anticipated world premiere of Others. Faingold begins a circle of life, and the Signature Symphony is delighted to conclude the evening with love and hope from the second installment of our Mahler Project. Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 5, which he composed at the dawn of the twentieth century, touches on the universality of life, love and death. The 4th movement, Adagietto, is a musical love letter to Mahler’s wife Alma, and the Signature Symphony invites you to take in what is notably his most famous work.
