Opening Tuesday, May 5 –
On Dec. 4, 1956, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins found themselves in the recording studio at Sun Records in Memphis, Tenn., for an impromptu session that has been called the greatest jam session ever recorded. The next day, an article about the now-famous session was published in the Memphis Press-Scimitar. It was titled “Million Dollar Quartet.” Inspired by that famed recording session, a musical by the same name is touring North America with a stellar cast. Hear some of the greatest hits including “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Fever,” “Great Balls of Fire” and “Walk The Line,” that are sure to keep your toes tapping. With two stops in Oklahoma, don’t miss this smash-hit production that the New York Times says “whips the crowd into a frenzy with blast after blast of explosive vitality.” The show will run May 5-10 at Oklahoma City’s Civic Center Music Hall and May 26-31 at the Tulsa PAC.
