Provost, OSU Center for Health Sciences, and Dean of OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine
Tulsa
Shrum is the youngest and the first female provost and dean of a medical school in the state of Oklahoma, an accomplishment that is equally impressive when you consider that Shrum is still in her 30s. Her area of specialty is pediatrics; after graduating from OSU Center for Health Sciences, she began a private practice in Muskogee before entering education and administration full time. In 2009, Shrum served as the Saint Francis Health System’s Endowed Chair of Pediatrics and was named the George Kaiser Family Foundation Endowed Chair of Medical Excellence and Service in 2011. In addition to her monumental career accomplishments, Shrum is also a wife and mother to five children. In her free time, she enjoys running and participates in mini-triathlons.
