The Alzheimer’s Association brings together elegance and fun at its annual Memory Gala, this year marking its 20th anniversary. With more than 5 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s disease, this fundraiser is pivotal to the advancement of research and care of patients affected with the disease that the Alzheimer’s Association dedicates its resources to. Those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s don’t just lose their memories, but all functions that the brain controls – breathing, swallowing, walking – are taken hostage by the disease. Unfortunately, Alzheimer’s doesn’t just control the life of the affected, but affects the lives of their loved ones, who many times become full-time caregivers. Watching a loved one disappear while still present takes an immense toll, physically and emotionally. The Alzheimer’s Association combats this disease, with hopes to eliminate all the heart-ache, pain and loss it causes by eliminating the disease altogether. That’s the Big Picture. Sponsorship opportunities are available for the 2015 Memory Gala on Friday, March 6, at the Cox Business Center, 100 Civic Center, Tulsa, OK 74103. For more information, visit www.memorygala.com.
