Jon Kimura Parker, “Concerto Man” is lucky enough to have two names equally conveying the presence of a true master at the piano. Parker joins the Oklahoma City Philharmonic and conductor Joel Levine in The Heart of Romanticism, the second classics program of the 2011-2012 season scheduled for Oct. 15 at the Oklahoma City Civic Center Music Hall. The Canadian pianist reveals why he’s earned the acclaim of critics around the world in a program of Schumann’s Symphony No. 3, Rhenish, and Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3.
