The Professional Bull Riders’ Road to Greatness arrives at Tulsa’s BOK Center with the top 35 men in PBR’s Built Ford Tough Series. Entering the arena floor on Saturday, Aug. 15 atop a bull, the audience will brace for the eight seconds that following. Leading up to the main event, fun fan-friendly activities will entertain crowds all day Thursday. The Road to Greatness Parade kicks off at 11 a.m. From Boston and 10th to Guthrie Green, the bulls and bull riders, sponsor floats, Miss Oklahoma Georgia Frazier, The Express Ranches Clydesdales, the vehicles of Turn Tulsa Pink and more will makes their way through the streets lined with fans. Later, at noon, enjoy the one-of-a-kind spectacle that is the OK Buck Off. On the main stage at Guthrie Green, local radio and TV hosts as well as sports team mascots will take turns on a mechanical bull, competing for $1,000 to give their favorite charity. Two of PBR’s own will be judging the hilarity. Thursday evening, Ryan Dirtreater’s Ropin for Wishes roping contest will bring fans to the Tulsa RV Ranch in Beggs. From 6 to 6:30 p.m., before the contest starts, the bull riders will be taking photographs and signing autographs for fans, so get there early. On Saturday, fans are encouraged to wear pink and Buck Off Cancer with PBR and Turn Tulsa Pink. Tickets start at $17. For more information, visit www.bokcenter.com.
