An army of 12,000, outfitted in hot pink, will assemble in Oklahoma City for the 21st annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure to raise awareness and funds for people fighting breast cancer. The event has grown to the world’s largest and most successful education and fundraising event for breast cancer since it started in 1983; the Komen Race for the Cure has grown from one race with 800 people in Dallas to a global series of more than 150 races with more than one million people participating on four continents.
