One of the most puzzling plays of the past 50 years, Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett revolves around two seemingly homeless men waiting for someone or something named Godot. Vladimir is the restless thinker, blindly clinging to the belief that the puzzling title figure will show up for a designated appointment beneath a dead tree. Estragon is more feeble. The production is a comical mix of poetry, dreamscapes and nonsense, and has been interpreted as mankind’s search for meaning in life.
