His career started out at Ritz-Carlton, but now Nickler is charged with “puttin’ on the ritz” for guests at Tulsa’s BOK Center. He is the man behind the wildly successful Winterfest and Rock ‘n Rib Festival events, which have brought more than a quarter-million visitors to downtown Tulsa. He also works with the Tulsa Metro Chamber and the Tulsa Sports Commission to bring marquee sporting events to Tulsa, such as the 2011 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. When he’s not on the clock, Nickler can be found watching football, taking walks or simply running errands with his best friend, his dog Tiesto. He also enjoys blowing off steam at the gym. “No matter how tired or stressed I get, I always find time to make it to the gym or exercise. It’s amazing how much better just 30 minutes lifting weights or a bike can make you feel,” he says.
